As the name suggests, the mission of Mental Strength-The Performance Edge is to help individuals and athletes gain an edge in life through excellence in performance by being mentally tough. Mental strength/conditioning is all about getting that extra edge over others in practice, competition and in all walks of life. For an athlete, what is done in practice will automatically be transferred to competition, and for individuals, dealing with daily stress will be easier. It is important to note that mental skills, like physical skills, require practice to improve and perfect.
The aim of my service is to help individuals and athletes gain knowledge and practical application of mental skills like imagery & self-talk, as well as gain confidence & be motivated. Mental conditioning will help young athletes to be better at their sport and elite athletes to cross that thin line between being the best and excellence.
Athletes at all levels: amateur, collegiate, recreational, and professional, as well as artists, performers (theatre,music,dance), coaches, parents, exercisers, and business organizations can benefit from the services.
The main emphasis will be on individual and group sessions in the form of workshops and counseling, which will educate and teach practical mental skills. Concentration, confidence enhancement, energy management, anxiety reduction, goal setting, dealing with pressure and most of all having fun in your sport, work and day to day life, is what you can look forward to through mental conditioning and being mentally tough.
